  1. Shane was a little shaky, but still a great honor and experience for the kid.
  2. Hey one day befoere the All Star break, so one game to go, but I'll be sleeping cause of work. MID SEASON AL EAST STANDINGS....AND WILD CARD
  3. TRUE......also the USFL is absolutley no competition to the NFL There are a lot of good storeies in the NFL rigjt now.....but lets be honest, what Brady and the BUCS will do is Story #1. Fall flat on your face on Win it all......AND can Aaron Roders make it to a fn SB......those are the big stories anyway.
  4. No he has been with the Rays now for at least 2-3 years and in the Minors before that. He is by far the Ace of this staff. He has matured year by year into a great possibly Cy Young type Pitcher.
  5. Although I'm all for the YC getting some extra revenue. Is this suppose to be more exciting than Outdoor Soccer? The only time I can even watch this Sport is when the USA is in the World Cup, or USF is playing for something big.
  6. Well the Sox won anyway.....looks like the Rays reverted back to their hitting slump, which I thought they were coming out of in Toronto. Hopefully the next couple will turn back in the Rays favor......thats the thing about Baseball, any day, anything can and will happen.
  7. You are probably on your way there now....have fun man, and Happy 4th! Its certainly possible that 4 teams from our Division could get in. The Yanks are a lock....The other 3 teams seem to be bunched together and pretty close overall in talent. Will be fun to follow.
  8. The original leaque was alot of fun for us Middle age plus folks that remember it. This time around not so much imo. From a Tampa perspective, the Sports landscape is worlds apart from the 1980's. There is no room here for second rate Spring football.
  9. I agree with the loss of McDonough would be a blow. But, I have faith in this GM that we have, he seems to always find a way to make slick trades, not to say McDonough can be replaced. Our best players will still be back next year....some are getting an age a little like Stamkos and Hedman, but as long as we keep the core - Kuch, Point, Vassy still pretty young and others......there is still a lot to build around where we can continue to be a factor for the next 3-5 years I think.
  10. I know you jest....but good point, the Basketball rivalries could be lost too.
  11. I'll rephrase my last comment.......The rest of College football will not be USFL level, that is too degrading. But clearly, there will be a divide of talent and prestige between the BIG/SEC and the rest of the College football world. I actually don't think there will be a Power 5 anymore. The Big 12, PAC and ACC will be thrown in with the rest of the left including our AAC. Every school will be clamoring to get into these 2 conferences because the rest will be second rate in most peoples opinion.
  12. Any interest in Baseball guys and girls? I always follow the AL East as a Rays fan, and there is nothing else really going on until Football season.....so here are the latest standings at the beginning of July. The Rays seem to be in big trouble this year, not able to really keep up in this ultra tough division. Offense and to a degree Coaching seem to be their downfall right now. The Blue Jays and Red Sox are really good, but the Yanks are in a different stratosphere right now.
