Maybe if they kept him distracted while they drove him there, real fast, he didn’t notice it wasn’t on campus.

Why was everyone so high on this kid?  Was it his nickname or was he legit, and if so why was he transferring, and to UAB?

He is a JuCo Transfer. I also thought we were going to get him originally but he initially committed to Mizzou. Then he was told there was not enough schollies and went back hunting. I think maybe USF had cooled off on him after his commit and looked elsewhere. Nothing factual to support this, just my opinion.

I do however feel there may be a couple rabbits pulled out of a hat tomorrow.

Feel good about Jackson Long, would also be our highest ranked high school commit.

Last year Jarren Williams came out of nowhere, could be something similar. An Iowa state DB on their 2 deep entered the portal yesterday and is from new port richey. Could use more depth back there

Any shot of getting De’Carlo Donaldson?  Looks like he’s longer committed to Tulane.

Plus side to the portal, IMO. These kids get out of high school, get a little more mature, maybe a little bigger, maybe learn the speed of the game is not high school, etc. Transfer in and we've already got their redshirt/rookie season out of the way. Now they know what college life is like and are ready to get down to some serious work.

GO BULLS!

Yeah it seems like covid has presented a unique opportunity our staff is trying to take advantage of.

Every guy we’ve gotten has been in a college strength and conditioning program for 2/3 years but still has 3 years of eligibility left.

if we can make a bowl this year the sky is the limit for 2023/2024

Or? He still wasn't at USF...UAB-USF?? I could see where someone might get those confused...Oh well, hope the kid has that program work out for him.
