I agree with this. For all of the people complaining about bleachers, heat, A/C, Luxury boxes, the fact is the stadium is not for you or me. It’s for the players and students first. You need to create pride, traditions and memories. That’s how you create true and loyal alumni and fans. Believe me, I know that that luxury boxes are how the stadium gets paid for and investments are made, BUT, the real money is creating loyalty to your brand, that’s why Tesla can put out crap and people keep buying it or how Apple can provide zero innovation now and we keep buying their products. In the University sector, you bring students in, provide a UNIQUE once in a lifetime experience to which they cherish and want to share with their children. Going to Ray Jay is not going to help a struggling team, an OCS will, that’s why 95% of CFB teams have an OCS. That’s why an OCS is an “investment”. For goodness sakes, if this isn’t clear to everybody, I don’t know what else can be said. Sometimes in life, it’s not all about the money. Yes, the University is a business, but most successful businesses have certain investments that pay dividends in places other than the bank account. USF has so much money pumped through her that funding this project won’t bankrupt it.

I agree on a lot of the arguments for an ocs but 95% of CFB teams, probably more, have an ocs because they couldn't have a football program without one ....

True.  I do not think the NFL will be expanding to Greenville, NC anytime soon. .

People who think attendance will dance up just because of a building are misguided.  If the team stinks, there will be a lot of empty bleachers arround me.  So, if the team is still bad,  I am looking at it positively as I will bring in my Gin drink and spread out and work on a killer tan watching the Bulls play since there will be lots of space around.

This is a GREAT example!! For non-die hard fans, any inconvenience will start deter them from coming to a game; especially when the product on the field isn’t very good.

And which do you think non die-hard fans will consider more inconvenient, a state of the art NFL stadium or a stadium with mostly bench seating that's not centrally located?
