And now that we given a seat at the table to 6 new schools, with the right ambition they could overtake us. USF is ahead of Boise State for sure, and probably ahead of SMU. The Big 12 doesn't need another DFW or Texas team, but the Pac 12 might look at Houston or TCU which would put SMU in play. USF is quite probably in the Top 2 of the remaining G5 schools, and possibly the "next school up".
