On a different note, this from College Football News:

8. Don’t assume this is slowing down.

At some point, the Big 12 will realize that going after USF – Tampa, rivalry with UCF, massive enrollment – makes a whole lot of sense, and the AAC hanging on to Memphis is a mild upset.

One would hope.  I'm guessing they are waiting to see if we will really invest.

If strength of schedule in OOC is going to mean more, then we have some good strength lined up in the future:

BYU, Alabama, Florida, NC State, Louisville, Boise, Miami FL, Notre Dame

Exactly . . . and why we need to stay aggressive when we can.

Also, push for the UCF game to continue . . . maybe as an opener now that they won't be a conference foe.

Go BULLS !!!

I hope they offer us a 2 for 1.

2 in Oviedo and 1 in Tampa?

Um No | Etsy

Now that I think about it...if the first game was just a pay game for $2 million, I'd be okay with that.

Not really and if anyone thinks USF is next in line for the next round of realignment I actually think we are behind at least 3 other schools in SMU, Memphis and Boise State. And now that we given a seat at the table to 6 new schools, with the right ambition they could overtake us.

USF is ahead of Boise State for sure, and probably ahead of SMU.  The Big 12 doesn't need another DFW or Texas team, but the Pac 12 might look at Houston or TCU which would put SMU in play.

USF is quite probably in the Top 2 of the remaining G5 schools, and possibly the "next school up".
