Yesterday Rice announced a $100 million campaign for athletics. With all the money they have with alumni probably won’t take too long. Aresco should have added Rice and UAB only then waited to see how things shook out.

I have seen a lot of negative comments elsewhere about Rice by people who have no sense of history nor economic reality of how much cash they have. Agree with you.

I think they were a good add. No one in Houston really follow them but if they got decent in the AAC they might change. But you are correct they have a tradition but it was long ago.

Trying to stay positive. When scraping the bottom of what is left, Rice was the only one with substance even if the expiration date was long ago. I think they do have a few wealthy fans who want them to get back to the glory days they heard about from grandpa.

I don't feel like they have. They have a solid quality show but it really just feels like they've been doing all they can to squeeze the juice out the realignment clicks, especially from the fan bases of the likely next in line teams.
