The more I think about this, why should we want to leave for the Big 12? It seems to be a conference in shambles. Their bellcows are leaving. I read somewhere their media payout per team could drop from $37M to $9M per team once that happens.

I need to find the link but I read a story that talked about the ratings comparison of the AAC to the remaining 8 B12 teams. Over the last 5 years, the average viewership is actually higher for the AAC.

I feel the AAC is solid (for now). I think they could send an open invite to 5 B12 teams and make this a nice conference to be in.

Doesn't piss me off. Nothing we haven't heard before and no more or less credible than any of the other times it's been tossed out there.

Because 9 million is way less than $35 million but still a 30 percent increase and other teams are going to jump at the bump in status and money which will make it an even bigger difference

"Market size doesn't matter if you're not prevalent in that market."

Tell that to Rutgers and the B10.

That was a decade ago...and for a conference that had it's own TV network.

Things have changed since then.

And that change has been demonstrated or communicated by whom?

7/28 Oklahoma Texas officially request SEC, Big 10 & Pac 12 realignment, Aaron Rodgers, Deshaun Watson, Olympics, Barstool Bowl...

Ohio State, Michigan, Clemson should be also peaking at the SEC with that amount of $$$
