I never got why "Their biggest thing is to find a wife for WV" is so popular. Why? Because WVU is driving so much revenue, eyeballs, and is geographically in the heart of where the Big 12 wants to be? My take: keep them on an island if there's candidates you want that don't happen to be near them. Are they going to pass over BYU because they'd introduce another "island" into their conference? If they take BYU does the 2nd team "have" to be near one of these supposed islands? WVU is small potatoes, I don't think the Big 12 is going to let getting them a travel partner derail making the most prudent decision from every other perspective.

EDIT: I think Cincy may be the most prudent decision and they coincidentally would be a good travel partner.

I would agree, but Cincy is first in line in these expansion talks. Houston, USF, UCF, Memphis, BYU, and UConn is all toss up after that

I don't disagree that they're first in line. They have merits to be. But, it's just convenient that they happen to be near WVU. If they were in Georgia or Indiana, they're still next, IMO.

July 15 has come and gone. Are you going to pay up or not? Put up or STFU

If they add 2, it will not be an either/or of UCF or USF.

If you think so, explain the logic of adding Cinci to fix the WVU island problem, and at the same time creating an even further one with a school that has less history/tradition/fan support than WVU.

Agree completely. If they add two, Florida will be left out which refreshes my opinion, that the B12 may just go poof like the B East. If Texas leaved, Ok bolts and the B12 is a more boring AAC.

I really don't think anyone has an inside edge reporter wise...but I just saw this this morning.

Maybe he's waiting on FedEx to write the check for him.

Say, how big a deal is scheduling on Sundays? BYU is big and always football strong...

But it is also 1,932 miles from WVU to BYU.
