GAME DAY vs. Tulsa

After a bye week, USF returns to Raymond James Stadium for the first time in a month to take on Tulsa, which downed the Bulls, 42-13, in Tampa last year for the Golden Hurricanes first-ever win in the series. USF will be looking to end a 12-game conference losing streak that dates to Oct. 26, 2019 as it looks ahead to four of its next five games at home after starting the year with three of the first five on the road.

SECOND HALF: After a brutal stretch of facing four opponents among its first five games that are ranked in the Week 7 AP Top 25, posted a combined record of 19-4, and saw the Bulls playing three of those on the road, USF plays four of its final seven games at home and will face four teams that have at least three losses in their first six games, with one currently ranked foe - No. 3 Cincinnati - remaining on the schedule. The Bulls are .500 or better at each of their remaining road foes: at ECU (5-0), at Tulane (1-0), at UCF (3-3). USF’s schedule going into Week 6 was ranked No. 16 in the nation by the ESPN Power Rankings.

PLAYING THE LONG GAME: USF’s last eight scoring drives have all been at least 54 yards or longer and have averaged 70.8 yards per drive with longs of 94, 75, 75 and 75. USF has had only two drives consume less than 3:56 on the clock and the last eight drives have averaged more than 5:30 each. The Bulls last short scoring drive occurred with a 4-play, 17-yard touchdown drive in the fourth quarter vs. FAMU on Sept. 18, nearly a month ago.

QB CONSISTENCY: With Timmy McClain slated to make his fourth straight start at quarterback, it would mark the longest starting string under head coach Jeff Scott, who saw five different starting QBs in his first 12 games at USF. Jordan McCloud started three straight games in the middle of last year in losses vs. ECU, at Temple and vs. Tulsa.

SERIES: USF leads, 3-1
IN TAMPA: Tied, 1-1
IN TULSA: USF leads, 2-0
LAST: Tulsa won, 42-13, in Tampa in 2020
ON ESPNU: 27-14
