Yes, it would be cheaper and I agree smaller-but-expandable is the right play. In that design, I am not sure how expandable it would be other than endzones... that second level would make it difficult to build a third level.

The better play for expandability is a single level of 45,000... that allows adding a second level in the future.

If they are talking the kind of money that was discussed prior I would rather have a Houston type stadium for $128 mil. Or maybe two levels of this.

Since USF is in the lightning capital of the world, why not a domed stadium like the what the Colts have? Fits perfectly at the Sycamore Fields location.

like the Buckeye grove one a lot. Planting a tree for each first team all American would be cool. Can have a little plaque next to the tree to immortalize the players season.

so far we’d have:

Selvie: 2007, 2008

JPP: 2009

Mike Jenkins: 2007

Battie: 2021

Or maybe do it for people in the USF hall of fame for football so it can be the program legends? Or maybe do it for USF players who get drafted to the NFL.

Plant a tree for each 1,000  or 10,000 donation or more towards the stadium.

I suggested something similar. Mine was actually planting me(any fan that wanted to pay for it) under the tree with a plaque.

There are quiet a few universities that have graveyards for alumni that are located not far from campus. Kind of a permanent “home field advantage” if you will…😀

Needs adjacent trailer park to honor the programs humble beginnings, could be used like the cockaboose at Carolina.

As much as I would LOVE a Dome Stadium . . . don't think it's gonna happen.

There are multiple reasons to pass on that even if it was available.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
