exactly what we need to do. run the play clock down under 5 seconds before we snap and grind out the yards. Scott recognizes this as well. quote from paper

 

“We were able to get the yards we needed to keep the drives going,” USF coach Jeff Scott said. “That’s what we’re going to have to be able to do this year, especially with the lack of depth on defense. We’re not going to be able to play as fast as we would like to play on offense.”

TCU did just barely beat a bad Cal team, hard to guage how impressive of a win they we're for SMU. Still early enough in the season that we don't really know how good teams are.

SMU took a hail mary to beat a meh Louisiana Tech team. And they we're only up by 1 at half and 9 at the start of the 4th quarter vs North Texas.

No doubt SMU has a bad defense our offense will score on them. 

Our offensive numbers arent great but they are trending up and we played a tougher schedule. 

But unfortunately our defense Is just as bad as SMU.

Going to need to force some turnovers to win this one. 

I could see a 31 to 35 type final score...and either team could be winner.
