What good does having a very nice on campus basketball arena do for student attendance? It's a step in the right direction but there are deeper cultural issues with the USF student fanbase that need to be resolved as well.

More bars and restaurants will open up and down Fowler to get a teet of this cow. Instead of the endless supply of fast food restaurants and oil change places that currently reside

This is the first step and the biggest step you can do to change the culture in campus. The game day atmosphere tailgating cannot be replicated at a stadium 20 miles away and tailgating does not exist in Basketball.

That said it’s time to move out into a dedicated facility. There is so much that goes into an OCS that has nothing to do with attendance. It hits on everything missing from South Florida football-recruiting, culture, excitement for the future. It’s a no brainier. Funding? Not so much a no brainier. The other guys lucked out getting one built for 55 million. Sure it wasn’t great but that’s what renovations are for. Just make it happen, worry about luxuries later. Not sure if an OCS is it or not, but I would at least like to see our leaders doing something besides standing by and letting be what will be
