This game was tougher than probably expected.  But the Bulls pull away at the end.  Final:  USF 78-69.

Main thing is the undefeated record in the Conference and the Overall ranking will stay in tact.

With only 2 years left on this deal, MK needs to extend Jose immediately. We cannot afford to lose an elite coach.

Tulane was ranked 59th in the NET rankings, so they are no slouches. I expected a tough game and we got one. Our shooting has been atrocious in the two games from the layoff. It will improve. Just have to beat UCF. Never going to get higher than a #4 seed from the committee, they showed us that already.

Tulane has a good team. That was a good win for the team.

The committee punished anyone who had a COVID layover-they punished Michigan too.

If we run the table in conference and do it again in the conference tourney, no reason we can't get a top 4 seed. I suspect beating 3-4 top 60 teams twice more will be enough evidence with the early season successes.

I think a 4 seed is our ceiling, especially with Mississippi State not being as good as they were expected to be.

My take on tonight's game. Tulane, I believe, made 27 of 30 from the line. Kudos to Jose for not getting a technical.  Brabencova was the only player that could slow down #25 of Tulane. She, 25, reminded me of Courtney Williams but a better 3 point shooter. Best player on the floor tonight. Total team effort bu USF. Something was going on with Pinzan tonight. In tears on the bench a couple of times. Didn't start the 2nd half but contributed big time. Made 2 crazy layups over a 6'4" girl. Mununga had 17 and 17. Shae had a bunch of Off Rebound put backs. The other guards made some big 3s. Even Bermejo, who only played a few minutes, made a couple of clutch FTs. They showed a lot of fight tonight.

Wait I thought that Native American guy said Jose was not a good coach.

He’ll be back here in a snap as soon as we lose a game.
