Knowing absolutely nothing about Skip, my gut says he's at Tech for life unless a miracle P5 dumptruck of money came along. He has success, money and stability there and from what I saw of him at USF he doesn't have the competitive hunger to leave that comfort and risk moving up to where he's failed before.

You would be wrong. Not saying he is leaving but very competitive.

You knew him and would know better than us but we are all competitive per say and hate to lose.  it comes down to how hungry you are, what you are willing to sacrifice and a daddy’s boy normally doesn’t have that hunger IMHO.

You don't last very long as a coach not being very competitive .... it just translates differently with different people. I don't think anybody really knows what Skip would do if offered a P5 job ..... probably not even him ..... would probably depend on which job.

So does that mean that CJL was a daddy's boy for turning down the Bama job?

As always, start with the conclusion and then work backwards plugging in nonsense to "prove" your point.

Skip was a good fit at ECU, bombed at USF (how much of that was him vs. being tied up by Genshaft and an athletic program trying to “fix” their culture), and recouped at La Tech. I would be inclined to stay at La Tech, keep the program I built, and be comfortable.

Have no idea and did not realize CJL had a dad that was a famous coach?  Where did he coach?

If we wanted a gym teachers opinion than we will summon you, until then please refrain from providing nonsense to the discussion.  When we find a simplistic discussion that you are suited for, we will circle you back in.
