If the coach wanted him or he wanted to stay sure. But here is the kicker to all of this. Next year teams have to be at to the traditional 85 scholarship players on a team. Thus some of these players will not find a home with a scholarship...at least on the FBS level due to freshman coming in.

Good Point

While most on the board will disagree, this is the real reason he was at USF and as such, his time here was a success

I am happy that he got his degree and always thought he was either underachieving or underutilized throughout his career on the field.  I do like to see these kids get a degree however when they don’t I don’t lose any sleep, their choice.

Nice breakdown thx.  There are a few guys that are assets to this team were going to be young again next season(depends on portal) eg. Brinkman? Schneider? Some others either grad or senior's. NEB mentioned the scholarship # issue comes into play. If NCAA is going to allow an extra year would appear there needs to be some $$ provided to cover the scenario..kind of a cluster situation. Interesting to see how CJS handles this??

Of course you have Brady White at Memphis working on his doctorate, I think he's been there for about 10-12 years now...

It appears he is graduating as a junior?? That shows a lot about him being a serious student. Good for him.

I would have to say, we may not have a lot of success on the field these past 5-10 years, but man we sure get a lot of players that get good grades and graduate.

Not surprised. He has one year left after graduating and we are in a rebuilding mode.
Best of luck to him.

Reality none of those leaving did much in 2020. Maybe going elsewhere will be better for them and releases positions to bring in new players.

he could use another year but he disappeared this year
