We have that Soph transfer sitting on the bench. There has to be more to the story of why he is not playing in front of McCloud. I wish I knew why.

He is worse than McCloud?

We don't know. 4 min of play time and 6 pass attempts against Cincinnati really didn't give us a chance to see. I know the coaches see every practice but I am having a tough time believing he couldn't give us a better shot with his stronger arm.

That's why there must be more to the story behind the scenes. I hope time will tell.

He's not as good as McCloud.

If he were, he would be playing.

Ok. You're right. The best player always starts. Lol.

Did you not see that genius play call on the 2 pt conversion? Coaches do make mistakes. I like Jeff Scott but we really don't know his decision making skills yet. They have yet to be proven so don't assume he know's the best QB to win with yet.

I wonder if that was some huge gaffe or misunderstanding or something.

Oh I mean the 2 point conversion play.  Was that really the plan?

Looks better than McCloud to me. But the O-line would have to be a lot better for a pro style QB

Don't know why Fortin can't get it together. Sure looks a hell of a lot more athletic than McCloud.

The reality is that our O-line simply is not good enough for a pure pocket passer like Fortin to succeed. McCloud has the “ability” (sort of) to scramble when needed to, which seems like is the majority of snaps.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
