Uniform change

Why over the past 2-3 years have all of our uniforms gone from "USF" to "South Florida".  Who's idea was it to intentionally change this, thinking it was a good idea?  And does this concern anyone else?  I realize USF and South Florida are interchangeable as they should be,  but for years we had USF on uniforms.  Why the sudden change?  Who prompted this and why?  USF was fine. 

Edit:  I seem to remember under the Charlie Strong regime, that he pushed for us to be called South Florida, to differentiate us from UCF.  Is my memory wrong about that?  Strong is gone.  Put USF back on the uniforms.

USF could also mean the University of San Fransisco, which uses a variation of USF on their jerseys and has similar colors. It could be to differentiate ourselves from them too.

Because someone up top didn't/doesn't recognize how cool USF looks especially with the U being the iconic one.

SoFlo is the best uniforms that we have outside of the football gold lid, green top, green bottoms.

Absolutely horrible uniforms. Black and sour apple green are not USF colors.

My only gripe about the current uniform is that gold lettering and numbers on the green without any outline appears "off" to me. It could be because the green iconic U on the helmet has a white outline. 

Maybe if they took the outline off the U on the helmet it would all match but to me it is inconsistent.
