Edit:  I seem to remember under the Charlie Strong regime, that he pushed for us to be called South Florida, to differentiate us from UCF.  Is my memory wrong about that?  Strong is gone.  Put USF back on the uniforms. 

 

We were and are South Florida, except for a period of time when we followed UCF's lead.

I LOVE seeing SOUTH FLORIDA across the baselines at the YC with the Big U at center court.  Beautiful.

No we are actually both. But only one should be used. One is a school and the other is a location.
