Yes. Chad Morris was at SMU when hired by Arkansas and he brought Carroll over with him. Morris only lasted two years at Arkansas and had a record of 4-22.

Obviously the connection is Chad Morris. He was the OC at Clemson a while back and would’ve been working with Jeff Scott. Then Morris went to SMU as HC for 3 years and Arkansas for two. Carroll was with Morris that whole time.

He worked as an Assistant S&C coach for two years at Okie State before joining Morris. Also seems like his program at Arkie was heading in the right direction before the axe came down

Under 2 years, 4-18 .... hardly an endorsement for any coach coming from there but who knows how much

of that was conditioning.
