CCS knew he wasn't getting fired regardless of the outcome and did his friend a favor by bring him in. The wr got worse under bell, the running game got worse, o-line, and passing game all got worse. I do not see how this is acceptable because  of the "film" and new system. I watched every game and our offense was pathetic minus the SC state game which is sad.

It means that we must give KB one of two more seasons to get his players. Not fair to fire a coach after one season.

I want to start by saying I simply cannot stand TDS but that’s a whole different story. However, this is good film review. For those saying KB is doing a terrible job, there probably isn’t a thing in the world that will change your mind, but this film says otherwise. The plays are there. Who is responsible for that? KB. The PLAYERS AREN’T DOING THEIR JOBS!! KB can’t get out there and catch for them. He can’t get out there and magically fix the offensive line. He can’t get out there and block for them. Don’t tell me for once second “our offense is bad so this all falls on him” because whoever recruited what’s on the field didn’t do THEIR job (and hint, it wasn’t KB).  The problem is that many of us thought he’d come in and fix every issue USF has on offense but in reality that’s like trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. Watch for yourself, or continue to be closed minded. Your choice.

laughable that you think some fanboys "film review" is some authority on the matter.

guess what ? you could break down film of any college football team in America and find missed blocks and dropped passes.

Dude we left 35 points on the board against Memphis in the 1st half. Think we all need to sit back and see those 35 points reappear next season

I don’t think it holds any authority but it shows a lot of the things we’ve been seeing week after week. Like I said, I really can’t stand TDS but that doesn’t mean I think this is horrible. They also pointed out some really good plays from USF and makes me think McCloud isn’t nearly as bad as what a lot of us were thinking.

This is a fair enough position and the last sentence is my biggest problem and anyone should have seen this from the beginning

I think Puc has been pretty consistent in this and it is probably the most valid point on the topic of KB. Typically a coach is given at least 3 years.

The problem is that is not how this was sold. The fan base was already getting tired of CCS after going 17-8 in 2 seasons with an uninteresting offense. So then Kelly and Co go and say “ we found this smart guy who is going to fix all of our problems in two weeks”. Basically the plot of idiocracy. It was dumb to hire KB for this situation.

If you are going to do that, you don’t go hire KB and this offense or an air raid disciple, you get something with “lethal simplicity” like the read/run spread option and you load up on athletes to play QB like Evans and play sandlot football.

I think maybe KB’s system could work but it’s gonna take more time,

Exactly this pill would be easier to swallow if it was the direction we had went from the beginning but the honeymoon period was squandered and we needed something that could work closer to immediately than another 3 year project that may or may not pay off dividends in a few years (especially when you consider pro style should be a curse word in our program).

So to speak to this point, how do you load up on guys like this before this season? Can’t the same be said about loading up on guys that fit Bell’s current system?

Actually he was a player under Bell so he does have some insight. Why do you enjoy ******** on most posts?

I don't care what anyone say's. Our O'Line sucks and these same players have always sucked. Atterbury is a senior and yet one of the most penalized players on the team. He has only looked servicable in a couple games his entire career. That is just bad recruiting.
