Didn't know that and kind of surprised. Yep...and a decent amount of oil $ to boot.

They used to be good at hoops too. They did make a few C-USA title games in football. Not sure if they already won some football conference titles but at least they came closer than USF lol Edited November 21, 2019 by Bull Daly

Agreed, if they left the conference it would collapse, they are the wind beneath our wings and I feel fortunate to get them at home in consecutive years. This may be the beginning of a historic rivalry if we play our cards right. I still get a tingling sensation thinking of the last game we played against them, down to the wire in front of at least a couple hundred fans, maybe more.

Other than that, even though they have oil money and Academics......still seem to be pretty much dead weight for our conference. Replace them with somebody else out West like a Colorado State. If Aresco had my stones he'd grab the 9 remaining members of the AAC (minus Tulsa and Tulane) and then the best 5 of the Mountain West and form a new conference (see what the Great Midwest did by ditching Dayton to form C-USA with the Metro) and with it a new TV deal. Everyone can then pay the remaining schools the exit fee and you now have a conference that is closer to the P5 than the G5. That's the path to making the P6 a reality and not just a clown moniker. not a enough money to justify other sports On 11/18/2019 at 2:16 PM, brybull1970 said: An 8 team playoff is coming soon especially since one or more P5 conferences is left out every year. i am not so sure pac 10 doesnt seem to complain
