I told you all in the Summer USF Basketball is still a dumpster fire.

Not sure why you would say its a Dumpster Fire.  You can't predict injuries and we were primed to make a real run this year.

What I want to know is what did we ever do to make the Basketball Gods hate us so much.  Last year it was Laksa and the Ladies that were primed for a great season, and now this year losing arguably our most important player on the Men's team, announced 1 day before the season begins.....Are you freaking kidding me.

Maybe I'm too close to this program and don't pay attention that much to the rest, but it feels like we are the most snake bitten Basketball program in the land.

It's my fault, this is the first year I purchased season tickets for MBB.

Relax people. Let’s see how this plays out. The season has not even started yet. Hell, other teams will have their injuries too. Too many games in CBB not to see new players develop new roles.

Its still a big blow, but yeah I agree.  If anybody can get the most out of his players and make it work, its CBG.  Barring further injuries, I still think we can have a pretty good year.  Still sucks though.

It's an opportunity for one or two players to step up sooner than they were expected to. Coaches have had a pretty good eye so far when it comes to recruiting so I feel a little better in that happening. Not ready to push them from top tier to bottom tier yet ...... middle of the pack until see how the season starts playing out.

Can’t disagree but I wanted to dance this year, tired of leaning against the wall waiting for the invite.

The Dance was nowhere near a given this year even with Lex in there. The experience this is going to give some of the ones who wouldn't have played much this year could be invaluable in maybe stringing some Dance years together in the near future ..... and you never know how this one will play out either.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
