Agree on the arm strength but this something that can improve “some” with work. He needs to play within his skill set for sure. That’s a part of the maturation process.

His arm strength is a question mark, but there has been success at the college level with qbs with questionable arms.  There's been plenty with good arm strength that weren't worth a ****.  It's too early to tell with the kid and he's our best option at the time or until we visit that all around stud QB tree and pluck one off

My $0.02...

Yes, I think he's the guy for the next 3 years if he gets any coaching at all. The kid played 1-2 years of QB in HS and is 3 games into his career here... For that little experience, he's dare I say special. Touch on his throws when he needs it. Decent accuracy. Good feel for the pocket. If he were a life long QB, you'd expect all of those things, but, with him having so little experience, it's a really foundation to build on as he gains experience.

Remember Flowers didnt look so great his freshmen year...but his sophomore year he developed alot.  If that were to happen with McCloud he is more than good enough to be our qb for years.

Get him some help and he'll be plenty good for the next 3 years. The kid is playing with BELOW AVERAGE everything around him.

Yes. KB has something to work with. I’m very worried about the defense though. They have talent but they are still giving up big plans a la Houston 4 & 24 years ago

Yea the defense is still the bigger issue. They are tackling well but they arent getting alot of pressure on the qb without having to blitz.

If this does not get fixed by the seasons end then I think CCS needs to stop being loyal to his defensive coaches and make changes. After all, CCS is a defensive guru and he has yet to show that at USF.

That is maybe the most frustrating part of Strong as HC.  I could overlook some of the offensive issues if our defense looked like a legit top 30 style defense but three years later we look actually worse.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
