no other coach in the country has mass suspensions and dismissals like strong. he has done it at 2 different places.

funny how NEB and triple B will assume it's just an innocent academic issue(they have absolutely no clue and they base it on some yahoo on  a message board that "heard" something) here but with other guys including soloman it must have been some terrible reason.

they don't have a clue in either case. they just believe what they want to believe.

Some “yahoo.” That’s cowardly. Looks like you know all the info, too! There’s not a thing wrong with not bashing the coach without knowing facts. GTFO of here with your name calling and negativity. You not knowing what’s going on doesn’t mean you have to be an *** to the fan base about it.

sorry if yahoo hurt your feelings. wasn't my intention.

you don't have a clue. none of us do.

it's funny how triple b says something about the rampant negative speculation than comes up with his own innocent explanation as if he knows better than anyone else. he doesn't and he is just as guilty of speculating

Well this thread was a ride. Love Ford (and ragging on CCS) as much as the next guy but nobody has a clue what the context was around this, reserve judgement until we get details.

It’s a message board, judgement will be given and we don’t need no stinking details...😂

All signs point it to it totally being a CCS issue. Isn’t that what Salomon’s new coach said?

you have no idea why he isn't playing. it could simply be he didn't get an offer he felt was worth it.

he can't go juco and maybe he didn't want to go d 2

i doubt anyone would want to give a kid a scholarship for two years so he could play 1 year

That seems most likely. Typically, when kids get kicked off their college football team with multiple years of eligibility remaining, they quit the sport entirely as opposed to going somewhere else to finish their degree and possibly get a pro look. It’s doubly true when the kid is completely innocent.

he doesn't have multiple years. he was a junior last year. he had 1 year of eligibility left. he would have to redshirt to play 1 year. can't imagine many teams wanting to go that route.

maybe he decided it was best to train for NFL rather than play for podunk u on a partial scholarship.

sad truth but not everyone cares about earning a degree.

Multiple - redshirt as a transfer, then play as a RSSr.

I’ll be rooting for him in the draft. Also, partial scholarships are not allowed at D1 schools, unless you think there’s a reason only much lower division teams would be taking a flyer on him.

Makes putting the work in to keep a scholarship at a college difficult.

oh I thought you meant eligible to actually play....

you're right. he was eligible to sit out a year so I guess that means multiple years. lol

actually the degrees some of these kids get especially at the football factories aren't to help them better their lives. it's to keep them eligible to play

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
