I think we have to just slow them down.  Win key battles.  If he doesn't run for 200 plus, there is no way they can beat us. I don't really trust Freshmen qbs starting their first game of the season.

I'm excited for

Unexpected half-back dives.

Splashy out of conference wins.

Inevitable October in conference collapse.

FSU firing Taggart.

CCS post-game press conferences.

Commiserating with the folks here.

Ugh. I think we will be starting the season 0-2. Oh don't worry I'll be there and I'll be upset as always when it happens. But just like I called the 2nd half collapse last year, I don't see us progressing enough to take true advantage of an awesome SOS. CCS in my eyes has failed USF miserably until he proves that wrong. We still have the same DC and HC, for anyone who is caught up in a KB lovefest...

I am going to say we will start 2-0...thus with your 0-2 start we have just increased the statistical possibility of a 1-1 start which I think we can both live with. 😀

The same DC that with pretty much same players took defense in 2016 ranked 100th to 2017 ranked 30s.

The same DC who lost his most important player from 2017 to 2018, and then lost that player's "replacement" midway thru the season, coinciding with a 1-6 slide. Couple that with what was lost on the other side of the ball and 7-6 season doesn't really seem that far fetched but, it's the way it played out that left the bad taste. I'm buying in a little to Cali's assessment of what this year may look like, and it makes sense, but Cali, if you're wrong ......

I so want to believe the hype but as long as Strong is HC I still have doubts.  He has made a lot of offseason moves with coaches and players that look promising but we’ll see if it translates to the field.  I lost faith in him last year for many reasons.  One that still sticks with me is him saying he knew on the Thursday before the Tulane game that his team was ill prepared and did nothing.  After the atrocious effort against UConn, he talked about how we weren’t focused because of the new unis.  Wtf?  He threw his players under the bus in his press conferences.  And that last impression of the 2018 season was that embarrassing effort in a bowl game on our own so called home field.  I was there and in the rain and it was a pitiful effort.  Also, Let’s not forget the 3 awful season at Texas where he changed coordinators and they still sucked.

I so hope he proves me wrong.

See you at Wisconsin and GA tech.

Go Bulls!

Well allow me to say that I went back and looked at our roster and I was again pleased by the size of the kids this year. We have some experience and can rotate the D line . Main concern is The O line. Billy at LT doesn’t fit well with me. I dkw Hopple isn’t in the starting line. 6’7 325  to 63 305. Please prove me wrong William.

How well Horne is

I didn't consider this.  Horne + an actual offense might be a total gamechanger.

I always start out optimistic, but I am very realistic about what I start seeing :D

The defensive line sucks until it doesn’t.

Sorry...that's what I mean. Cause we arent going to shut them down running the ball completely.

I prefer them stopping this running system  over say a option like GT ran last year.

i agree... Georgia Tech was a different animal. They had a big line and a lot of athletes running that triple option, speed option, etc... I think it's easier to prepare for a more conventional running offense.
