Maybe the big 5 programs get $14 mil and the rest a lower amount. This is what is being discussed.

That's not enough to sign. You're leaving too much on the table. I think you have to get to atleast 20 to even give this a real thought

Probably right as long as one believes in their heart of hearts expansion will happen and they will be the one or two selected. If it is a two horse race then three teams are going to be pissed at their decision. Call Marty and Doc and get the DeLorean I want to see the future..,

This would only make sense if the AAC itself expanded to add Boise and perhaps Air Force, Utah St, or BYU. And then the pay out per school would have to be in the 15 mil+ a year range.

What does UNLV have to offer besides the market? San Diego St. has the better market and credentials across the board. Their one downfall imo is they are just too far geographically removed.

If offered 15 mil , it would be a suitable sum but don't think it would be enough to sign away all rights to expansion

Where is anyone getting the idea that the AAC will magically be able to offer anyone $15 million?  Not that any amount of money would be worth accepting our permanent fate in the minors but I just don’t understand how anyone thinks the AAC is on the cusp of a giant windfall of money so many X larger than its current peanuts.

Hypothetical: You say no amount of money is worth it, what if magically, the AAC gave us $50 million a year? I know it's not possible, but would that be enough since we'd be able to pay teams to come play us now? Michigan and UF got $6 million apiece to play last year.
