The philosophy of the coaching staff is to put the best players on the field. Coach String said Thursday night that Reeves, although not the best fit, is a better player than any alternative they have.

The linebacker situation is on strong. This off season he has to make that the #1 priority and hit judo's hard with this.

I was wondering just how hands-on Charlie is with this defense...what his involvement is exactly. In some of the earlier games this year, the defense was able to make 2nd half adjustments, but were not able to against UConn or Houston.

Great observation. Defense does not look like they have grown/progressed the last sevarel weeks. Uconn was embarrassing. Umass too. Houston, a little less so as alot of us knew King was going to shred this defense.

Come on, after the 2nd long TD thrown over the top, it was clear our DBs weren't capable of matching up or handling their receivers. The defensive coaching couldn't come up with a different scheme to protect against the big play?

You can blame the players all you want, but if it keeps happening doesn't take a football genius to know you need to change coverages, schemes or move personnel around.

No pressure from front four is ridiculous. DEs are slow.

+10000. You would think by now you know your players but instead to try and fit square pegs into round holes. This is how coaches lose their jobs.

But what if there are no round pegs yet to fit in those round holes.

Kierston Johnston looked very good before he was hurt last year. He has not made any progress?  Is Polk not on the roster any more?
