That’s the reason I’m surprised the NCAA allows for this. USF would never be able to raise the money that FSU would so it becomes clear to a recruit come to FSU and if anything happens to you at all m

I know that GoFundMe makes it convenient, but is there a way to contribute to this another way so a percentage of my donation doesn't go to GoFundMe?

Possibly through USF Athletics, but it creates accountability issues if you donate directly.

Years ago QB Ronnie Banks’ family home in New Orleans was damaged by a hurricane (Ivan?) and USF Athletics had a fund raising,  I donated by check payable to Ronnie Banks, which was endorsed and deposited by him.   I never  received a thank you from him or USF.
