You want to know the real reason the line has not shifted? Today Randy Edsall announced that he will be playing players who have not played all year. There will be many 1st and 2nd year players in this game for Uconn. USF will cover this spread and then some. Book it!

Still not how it works. Please read the pamphlet above.

If that information is influencing more bettors to take USF (basing this on your "USF will cover this spread and then some. Boo it!" remark), the line should be increasing.

At some point though-- there is only so far a line will go. I think there might be a limit to how much people think we can beat any team by-- no matter who is on the field for the opposing team. Charlie is going to be playing plenty of his backups as well and it being a home game, he will have the full set of active players to work with. Not that it matters-- but he doesn't care about the line for this game. He just wants a W. It is how he coaches.

Oh I get what your saying. I am just saying that when jimmy and tony are looking at who they are going to bet on this weekend they are starting to discover that Uconn does not care about this season any more.

So, to recap the past 5 pages.

1. People can’t predict with 100% accuracy what will happen.

2. Sports books are trying to make money and the line shifts to further that end.

3. Correctly picking the outcome of any game is not the goal of a sports book.

What's weird to me about edsalls move is that the majority of his starters on defense were already underclassmen who havent been there for 1 or 2 years.  If hes digging even deeper, I dont even know what to expect.  But I'm assuming it cant get any worse for them
