How do you not have a play ready? You call BB over and have to burn a timeout.

And on top of it the play was a rollout into a blitz?

Using the timeout is not what bothered me but the play call did. We couldn’t draw up something like the famous Tebow play or something never tried before

Worse, why roll him left, against his natural throwing motion?  But B2 HAS to chuck it...you can't eat the ball then, or on 4th down.

The play was not designed to roll left. If anything, it was designed to roll right but BB had to scramble back to his left .... but he definitely screwed up by holding on to the ball. When he started back to his left, 4 or 5 black jerseys started to converge on him and all he had to do was lob the ball over their heads to an all alone Salomon in the end zone. I'm thinking this time next year he does just that ....... keep forgetting how inexperienced he really is at playing full time at this level. He'll learn ...

He should’ve flipped the ball to the rb who looked uncovered, I think. Also the extra linemen will be playing for the rest of the season.

In a weird way, using the timeout may have helped us win the game. Had we not used it, Tulsa may have potentially thrown on third down. Without it, they were content to just run the clock. Not saying they would have passed for a first down, but we were able to sell out to stop the run.
