Why put all the second stingers in on D, but not let Kean or O throw the ball on offense?!?!

I typically agree but if one of those guys got hurt it would have been worse than a garbage TD at the end of the game.

We are what we are...probably a three loss team, but I do like the way this team does have fight. Let’s see what happens as we move forward.

CAN WE GET A ******* QB SNEAK?????????????

I'm catching up so way behind. Don't you have to have a QB take a snap under center for a QB sneak.  Doesn't look like this team does that.

Good: threw to his second choice, bad looked left the entire time, no look off Barnett has some improving to do.

Speaking of that, where IS CaliBull?

I'm happy the offense put it together, but the defense giving up over forty to back-up QBs and no head coach is horrible.  Can the offense and defense show up on the same Saturday for once?

I've pretty much accepted the fact that we can't put together a complete game. Between the Offense, Defense, and Special Teams, one of those units is sure to play like crap, each and every week. We will get away with this against the likes of UMass and ECU, but certainly this will bite us before too long. Seemed to be a lot of penalties again. We had two weeks to prepare. Wonder if Charlie will say that he didn't have the team ready yet again.

We have a 5-star QB, and some seemingly good targets in St. Felix, McCants, Salomon, Wilcox...I'm surprised at how lame our passing attack looks at times. Our pass protection breaks down far too often, but even when Barnett has time, it seems that either guys aren't getting open, or BB just isn't finding them. Is the WR corps just overrated? Is it Gilbert just not making the most of what he has? We haven't exactly lit it up through the air against some pretty crap teams in UMass and ECU. Nice to be undefeated, but as far as our passing game, we will need to get the GT form again soon if we are to keep this rolling.

the stats on this game are so strange---

I mean coming into this season, I thought our run defense was the weak point. Elon must have one hell of a rushing attack or we have just been playing teams that are pass happy.

Ugly game with flashes of fun plays. Cronkrite had an incredible game. I understand why these scores/yardage are getting some people upset but I also get why CCS is trying to get his younger players playing time whenever possible. That type of approach may not make us look great to those focused on style points or whatever-- but I can see this helping us out in the long run. You have to play  to get the experience you need when it matters. You also want to protect key players when possible. Once we hit 58 points or even earlier-- the game was clearly ours. Getting upset about "letting" a team like UMass rack up late scores and yardage in spite of why it is happening ignores that trade off. Some of our best players from the 2007 and 2008 squad got tons of time playing as true freshmen (Mike Jenkins definitely did). It is essentially to building a strong program. I look at this game with the same weight as you might a strong FCS opponent -- and we all know the point of those games is to get a nice lead and then get our young guys as much playing time as possible.

anyway--- we got our W, we covered the line, and honestly no one really is looking at this game on our schedule and worrying about scores or yardage other than our own fans.

Say what you want about how this team is going to lose 3 games or whatever. After last season, most of us were realistic and thinking that we were going to be rebuilding this season and that 4 losses were reasonable. At this point-- I think we have the potential towin out-- especially if we can get more time for our backups. Depth is what the best teams excel at-- and has always been one of our problem areas.  I say potential but I am ok if we lose a couple of games. It won't be the end of the world and until it actually happens- maybe we should throw on some green and gold glasses and try to enjoy a win.

Interesting OT tidbit .... At Lightning game last night, they showed the score of our game, noting Cronk's accomplishment, and the response was loud as ****. Surprised me a bit ...
