It took me a while to get used to it but I’ll still take it over the southern drawl..

Funny, we did have a French teacher( actually looked similar) who was a WW ll war bride brought to the US. I'm sure the nuns thought of her as quite the hussy. Of course the high school boys she had as students thought she had all the correct "intellectual" attributes to be a great teacher. So, 2 years of French later...best hire they ever did in my 4 years there.

Amherst is in western Mass.

the accent isn't really the same as Boston

I think it's just "wicked pissa"... I don't think I've heard it used with the article "a" in front of it, but it's been a while. Lol
