History repeats

Not sure if anyone noticed but in 2007:

• Opened against Elon
• Had a 4/5 star Alabama recruit - Mike Ford
• The opener was closer than it should have been
• We Got to Number 2

I'm hoping only one of those things doesn't happen.

The electricity in the air is getting strong! It's just the first game--I don't expect fireworks all game but I want to see some flashes of brilliance all over the field and a solid game plan (ie not HB dive on 1st & 2nd downs, then "go long").

It would be nice if they came out and took control from the first play. I don't want a close game going into the fourth quarter.

Of course, the schedule and the conference we reside in won't allow this, but it doesn't mean we can't have a great year.

I'm excited to get the first real look at this year's team.  This is the first time in a long time that A USF team has come into a season with such a large gap between our ceiling and floor.   we could be fighting for 6 wins just as easily as we could win the conference depending on how things bounce.

Have a feeling this will be a sloppy close game.  Bulls win it in the end by 10-14 points.  No QF, lots of freshman on the 2 deep.  With that being said, I may be more excited about this season than any other because I have no idea what to expect.  Go Bulls!!

Also, we're playing a pretty good, albeit FCS, team that returns a lot of starters. An odd ball 3-3-5 defense with an All-American at linebacker. 

I think just like some of our earlier games that they'll play their butts off, and then tire a bit in the second half. We'll win, if for no other reason than we have more and better athletes.
