There will never be another QF, but if we can get a manageable replacement there is a foundation of an 8 win team or so, considering how bad our conference is. But no way we will start the year ranked. I expect UCF (and maybe Memphis) will be, but I think UCF will be taking a step back with their new coaching staff. I haven't looked at their OOC schedule but I do think they lose 2 conference games next year. Their OOC schedule is home against South Carolina State, FAU, and Pitt. They play at UNC so they won't be undefeated next year. Their home games are against Cincy, Navy, SMU, and Temple. their road games are at UCONN, ECU, Memphis, and us. Overall success will be determined by defense. Doubt we start ranked, but i think we compete for league title and up ranked as long as defense truly develops. It was defense and Special Teams that hurt us when it counted.

So glad to be able to finish ranked again! Go Bulls & thanks for a solid season!

Probably not. One loss to UCF would have been enough for the committee to keep us around 20 IMO. UCF was #12 after winning the conference undefeated--it took a win over a good SEC team to break the top 10, and they still didn't put them above other P5 1-loss teams, so with USF's schedule we'd have no hope of breaking 15.
