Even after the result of the game the TT posters on the ESPN site in teh game thread who claimed we had a soft schedule and would easily beat us are still saying they are better and they are P5 for a reason and that this small sample size of one game means nothing.

They cannot accept reality.

We did have a very soft schedule, but what reason are they P5?  Because Texas and OU haven't left yet?

They're obviously not better and they're P5 because they were grandfathered in .... but I will say the P5 in them came out with the fan turnout. They had a ton more fans there than any G5 would have have had under the same circumstances .... 6-6, 8th in conference, playing an opponent from an "inferior" conference 1000 miles away.

How many did they have? How did Usf do?

It’s not like USF is a sun belt team or anything. There was a day that we belonged to an automatic bid BCS conference.

Birmingham's Team!!! @UABFootball2017 Dec 23

28,623 was the announced attendance for this year's Birmingham Bowl. What a game!!!

Last year, when it was USF against an SEC team, South Carolina, announced attendance was 31,229.

Not too shabby, considering we were going in back to back years and TT fans had much further to travel.

For those who went to both games, how would you compare the atmosphere?

I would be interested in hearing whatever else you might have to say.

On their board, they thought we were FCS-level. So there's that.

Guys hate to talk about actual attendance but 28,000!  There’s no way there was more than 10,000 people in that stadium.
