That #GoCoogs reminded me of some awesome Tweets by a UH fan discussed on the Realignment thread, back when conf expansion was hot and heavy. I think it was something about some emails from a Deep Throat ESPN employee and how UH and Cincy were vying for the last B12 spot and it was to be settled by who averaged the best attendance, announced figures obviously, for that year ........ good times

Houston had a really nice indoor practice facility.  I know it is a money issue, but this facility is a necessity in the lightening capital of the world.  Plus it is great for recruiting...another facility to brag about to recruits.

Houston has been making great investments in their athletic programs. 

 

I understand that USF wants to do things correctly; but they need to get started while things are good (relatively)

Leavitt was talking about the need for an IPF many years ago.

Long past the time for talking.

Guessing it would go where those old outdoor basketball courts are/used to be? I haven't been around there in awhile but I know there used to be about 5 courts down there near the track stadium. That would be a good place to put it, to the west of the current football practice fields. I'm not sure if there's enough room though.

I think the timing is actually pretty good now if you think about the next wave of realignment. The IPF will is gonna be high quality though. Hope it can double as a football only facility that would be something that UF doesn't even have yet.

I seriously doubt that it will be only used for football.

We might be hearing an announcement on it as early as today.
