Targeting The NY6

After this weekend it seems obvious that the winner of the AAC will get the NY6 bid. The remaining contenders (less than 2 losses) and their schedule (alphabetical order).

Memphis record 8 - 1, remaining games vs SMU (6-3) vs ECU (2-7) OOC wins LA Monroe, UCLA, Southern Illinois

Toledo record 8 - 1, remaining games @Ohio (7-2), @Bowling Green (2-7), vs W. Michigan (5-4), OOC Wins Elon, Nevada, Tulsa, OOC loss Miami (FL)

UCF record 8 - 0 remaining games vs Connecticut (3-6), @ Temple (4-5), vs USF (8-1), OOC wins FIU, Maryland

USF record 8 - 1 remaining games vs Tulsa (2-8), @ UCF (8-0), OOC wins SJSU, Stony Brook, Illinois

Any reason to worry about Toledo if we both finish with 1 loss? Loss @Miami looks a lot better than home to Houston.

I don't think so. If we win out we will have two wins better than any one of theirs. UCF and either Memphis, SMU,  or Houston.

Best conference record. If tied head to head. If didn’t play head to head then whichever team is higher in the CFP ranking.

the week before the final conference game and if both teams win their final games.  They will not wait for the CFP rankings on Tuesday to determine who hosts the game.  We would be ranked below Memphis in that case.  Memphis must lose to SMU or us hosting the game is a 10% shot.  If they beat SMU and lose to ECU then the hosting decision goes to 4 computer rankings (not sure which) and I don't know if we'd be ranked by the computers higher than a 2 loss Memphis.

You can Target the NY6, but will be ejected for the rest of the game.
