Does anybody know if USF is still only doing a 1-1 scheduling? For example, would we go on the road to Tuscaloosa and play 'Bama without a return game? --Not that I know 'Bama would want us. Just asking.

You can see some of our old schedules here, just select the year:

AFAIK definitely no pay games. We might do a 2-1 but not 1-0.

You think attendance is an issue now?  Imagine if all of our, "good" opponents were away games and all of our home games were just our conference schedule.

We did play Alabama once.  In Tuscaloosa.

Oops, I DID just look it up.  The game was in BIRMINGHAM in 2003.

Do you know the rest of the trivia question?

Who was the last team Alabama EVER played in Birmingham?

Miami was a nobody until they lined up a few years of schedules including the best teams in the country on the road and then proceeded to beat them. It's a risk...if you schedule those teams with no return game, you need to win. Imagine the crowd for the home game after beating Ohio State on the road and jumping into the top 10?
