All one needs do is look at undefeated UCF v UConn yesterday.

THEIR Announced attendance: 29,384. And, that was in THEIR OCS!

I seriously doubt they had 25,000 in ACTUAL attendance.

So, is the main reason for that low turnout THEIR administration too?

IMO, the PRIMARY reason is because we are all stuck in a MINOR league.

We've all heard the phrase:  "Just win and they will come!"  

THAT, is evidently not applicable to our CURRENT conference.

We can improve attendance, on the margins, with the help of promotions and advertisement, but that alone won't make a significant impact, for most games.

Homecoming, is a once a year special occasion, and we still couldn't draw 40,000 in actual attendance to it this year, even though we were ranked and undefeated.

Of course, if we played in a much smaller stadium (like UCF) it would be much less noticeable, but it wouldn't solve the real problem.

That's because it was new and people were just excited about having a college football team in Tampa.

But, since then we have been in a major conference which saw crowds averaging 45,000+ and people paid their money expecting that to continue into the future.

However the opposite happened.

We are no longer in a major conference and we should not reasonably expect to get back to our average attendance when we were in the Big East.
