The wind blows right through chain link fence and metal bleachers.

It's still should have been designed for 150 mph per the Florida Building Code.

I live in Riverview and I'm 50/50 on leaving after work tomorrow. Anyone else in the area sticking it out? Co-workers have made me 2nd guess myself and slight panic/overreaction is setting in on my part. Be safe everyone.

I live in Riverview (not Sarsasota).  We are gonna ride it out if it goes up the spine.  If it doesn't turn up the Spine it may be wise to bug out though so I'm not ruling it out.  I figure it is safer to be in my house than in my car on Florida roads by far.  More likely to die in a  car wreck as long as you have a well built home. It should only be a strong 2 by the time it gets to us, so I'm thinking at most 100mph winds.  It will be the most my house has been tested though.

Left palm beach. Have the shutters up on the condo. Hanging out with family in Apopka.

Saw a weather model that showed hurricane winds stretching across the entire state, coast to coast. Looking like the entire peninsula is going to lose power and have blocked roads.

Stay safe everyone.

Going on lock down tomorrow afternoon in the 239

Stay safe foot. Same situation in the north part of the 239. Although we were able to get some more water and propane this morning in an abundance of caution.

It is; I'm staying to help. Never know; harder to get into a bad area, easier if you're already here. Hoping no one is needed.

Awesome ... May be looking at that area when we hit the next phase and downsize the abode.
