You know, I thought that Mack might not come back after he suffered the injury vs Towson. He was hit hard and fumbled. He ended up going through concussion protocol. I believe that was the 2nd "concussion" that he might have received during his time here. Or at the very least, the second hard shoulder injury. I think that there might have been NFL concerns if he would have taken another concussion during his senior year. Good for him. I'm glad that he got paid. He earned it.

Well,

I'm happy for Mack, but I took a look at next years and RB is weak next year.  I think Mack could have gone top 5 RB next year... Maybe a rounds 1-2.

On another note... QF is projected the #5 QB in next year's draft... I can see QF as a Russell Wilson type if his passing continues to develop this year.  (Mike White is #7)

Mack was not going to move up on that list significantly if he came back.  There are other guys who were frosh and sophs who had good season last year because they were too young to appear on that list.  He was not going to be a first round guy unless he ran for insane amount of yardage.  Also the change in offensive philosophy and move towards a more power game could have gotten him injured.  I mean he's not a power back by any means. Things worked out perfectly for Marlon and USF.

Good for him. If he works that cash right he can be all set for him and his future kids/grandkids. He certainly is not the kind of kid to piss it all away.

He also said he is going to finish his degree at USF.  All signs point to a young man with his head on right.

He gets to finish his degree per his scholarship.  Remember the NCAA passed that rule along with all the other stuff the power 5 conferences made them pass.  I really liked that part and thought is was long overdue.
