It absolutely will. Wichita adds no cost and brings a legit basketball team who has a history of going deep into the tourney earning money for the conference. If they had been in the AAC the past 5 years, they'd have earned roughly $24 million for the conference. I don't know how all the distribution would work out with members, the Big East,, etc., but I know $24 million is a **** load more money than we've made for the conference in that same amount of time. http://minnesota.cbslocal.com/2017/03/16/gq-ncaa-money/ Edited March 22, 2017 by JTrue

Aligns with the current universities very well and pushes basketball to 12 members. American needs to stay competitive in expansion. The prime directive needs to be regaining power status and this move would benefit that.Im not sure about their other sports though.

Adding a non-football school shouldn't freak anyone out. It isn't like the Big East where there was almost an even split between the two factions. As previously stated, WSU would add units that would increase the AAC's payouyt from the NCAA for the tourney. Get it done.

Such as VCU, Dayton, Army or Air Force? Just curious.
