If it was them or Wichita. Absolutely.

Not the question.

Forget WSU.

Navy says they want all in.

Yes or no?

Nope. Don't need them.

That's where we differ.

I'd say yes to either, but yes to Navy faster.

Give me one way Navy makes the AAC a better overall conference than it currently is.

Balances us in basketball, and perhaps in other sports

Makes us a league without orphans. Where all schools compete in the AAC wherever the AAC has teams.

Brings us name recognition and alumni support in every sport, adding interest to conference games and away fans (retired or posted members)

You're reaching hard for this one outside of MAYBE the balance perspective in basketball. Alumni support for Navy's athletics rises because they're now in the AAC for other sports helps who how? Are you saying that Navy alumni would give more to Navy athletics because the golf team gets to play AAC teams now? Interest in other sports would rise because now they get to play Tulsa in women's volleyball? The conference makes more money because basketball teams get to play at Navy?

No and Yes.

No - alumni support for Navy's sports wouldn't necessarily rise, but it would transfer to AAC games

So yes - more folks would attend Tulsa women's volleyball games if they were playing Navy, than if they were playing Little Sisters of the Poor.

I agree Navy might bring an extra 200 people out for basketball when they come to town, but is that really the scope of conference addition? You get 200 more people once a year. Boom. Add them. Navy's attendance last year was 2000, ours was 3000. They aren't exactly adding seats to the floor for their trip through the AAC. Guarantee that 200 is washed out when we don't get UCF for another weekend in baseball for 3 games.

200 is an imorvement. You asked me to give you an improvement. I did. Outside if basketball,Navy probably improves the AAC more than WSU.

So outside of $25 million dollars, Navy is a better addition for peanuts.
