I'd rather add all of Navy's other sports, but I'm not opposed to the Shockers if the Middies won't go all in.

Navy brings zero the table in other sports. WSU brings money.

Navy brings a national audience and a degree of personal and professional respect for its students that WSU can never achieve.

We have Navy's national audience for football. They aren't bringing jack in that regard for the rest of their athletic programs. And I highly doubt our conference raises its "personal and professional" profile by adding men's soccer to the AAC.

If we're adding a men's soccer team, I'd still rather play Navy than WSU.

Shockers bring a basketball audience - I get it - and I'm not opposed to them joining.

Still. Rather have Navy than WSU.

If we can have both, hope WSU brings back football and gets good. Quick.

But we aren't adding WSU for anything other than the single thing they bring and we have Navy for the only thing they bring.

All the reports I've seen have WSU moving ALL sports to the AAC.

They're a warm body who is competitive in most sports and brings dollars in basketball. We have the only thing Navy brings already. That's the point. WSU doesn't make our other sports weaker, Navy does. Navy brings absolutely zero to the table that isn't already there. Hell, I'd bet most people don't even know Navy isn't a full member already. So we get their loftiness by association with no downside.

If Navy wanted to move all their sports in, would you veto it if you could?

If it was them or Wichita. Absolutely. Navy has one thing, football. Wichita lacks one thing, football. This is a perfect match.
