USF players who are leaving and 2017 decommits

We have lost 3 players and have 4 decommits since the USG “Regime” change. Not sure if it’s a bad thing, this gives Charlie Strong a chance to add a few of his own picks to the 2017 class.

1.      2017 North Florida Christian (Fla.) defensive end Michael Scott (Decommitted but we are still in the running)

2.      J'Bril Glaze (Decommitted but we are still in the running)

3.      Armunz Mathews – Transfering

4.      Tramal Ivy – left for some D2 school. Not sure what his deal was, but man I thought he was going to be the next JPP.

5.      Josh Dunn- 4 star DBand pretty emotional dude. Not sure what his deal was, but not sorry to see him leave.

6.      Bruce Hudson – He says USF is still in the running, but I see him going to Oregon.

7.      Demetri Berch – Decommit that taggart just offered, he is probably out the door.

 

On another notes, I'm excited about the defense next year. Taggart did leave us a good recruiting class so i can't hate if he is stealing a few. I'm intrigued by the 2 Kelvins. Kelvin Pickney and Kelvin Kegler….They are both 2 stars , but man, they look fast and strong on film. Hopefully, nobody notices them and tries to steal them away. I also believe we have a lot of young talent that will shine this year. Now that we have room, I hope Strong utilizes the new spots available for him.

Ivy going to a D2 school says he couldn't get his academic **** together. That's on him, not us.

Burch has not officially decommitted. Bruce, Demetri, and Emare all are still USF commits. However the likelihood of that staying after their official visits to Oregon, I don't see them leaving as Bulls.

Dunn lost his father not that long ago and it has hit him hard.

DeCommits are normal with a coaching change ... also gives them "air time".

Once CCS fills out his staff, they will fill out the class. You have to have your coaches in place before you enter the living room of your prospect. The recruit and his family want's to know whom they are dealing with. We have time.

We also dont know who Coach Strong is making phone calls to.  Remember its a dead period that is no personal contact.  I suspect we will know more once the dead period ends and we will see who is visiting when.

From some stuff I saw on Twitter Mathews was gone before the change too. He just didn't announce it til after. In reality we've lost Scott and Glaze so far and they both decommited between Tags leaving and us hiring Strong.
