there's a chance they are going to allow beer sales for the entire stadium next season. The AD is considering it but no final decision yet.

Old article, but we have challenges to face:

Quote

"

According to the document, USF's $46.9 million athletics budget for the 2014-15 academic year was slightly smaller than the average budget of six American Athletic Conference schools ($50.9 million) and considerably less than the average of four "aspirant" institutions ($75.8 million).

Aspirant institutions listed were Georgia Tech, Pitt, West Virginia and North Carolina State. Additionally, the $2.5 million USF received in philanthropic support in 2014-15 paled next to the average of the six AAC schools ($7.7 million) and aspirant institutions ($19.6 million).

Obviously, this report doesn't include our most recent season (or that huge athletic gift we recently received). But USF needs to bring in more revenue -- Harlan has done a great job. But we should be at the top of the AAC.

Our hands are also tied by not being a DSO... (that's good in my opinion though)

USF has been financial more responsible than our AAC counterparts, but we still need to increase revenue (marketing, more attendance, *cough* basketball)

Definitely work to do and there are challenges, but I doubt CCS would be as vocal as he's being about an OCS unless USF admin thinks they can be overcome

We need one big time donor to step up.

Didn't I read somewhere that the Glazers help fund Tulane's stadium?

So you finally build an ocs but then play some of the biggest games away from it ...... smh.

How many big games are you expecting in today's P5/G5 hierarchy? I'd love to get as many cracks at UF, FSU, Miami, Texas, etc., I just don't see those games happening frequently enough to build a stadium to account for the upsurge in their fans. We need to build it with room for expansion. Our fans have to step up.

My point was more that I don't care how many seats it is, you don't move any game off campus once you get an ocs .... especially those types.

Glazers make money of us renting "their" stadium here though. They don't want us to leave.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
