I think its better than this.  Its 500 salary and the rest are incentives so Texas could technically only get $250 per year :)

I like the backloaded pay and assistant pool. Incentive for him to stay and possibly a sign he intends to stay.

And sticking it to Texas after the B12 debacle is just icing.
