So he would be the coach for 1-2 years assuming Strong could keep our team together and winning. We need a long-term fix, otherwise this constant coach roulette is going to set our program back fan wise.

If Texas is the holy grail of schools why did Mack only win ONE national title in 16 years? UF won THREE national title since then and Charlie strong was part of it. It does not matter how great or what resources a school has, sometimes the cards that are dealt are simply not good enough to win at that time. he has failed 50% of the time as a head coach. the other time he hired a known cheater. I'm not talking about winning a NC or even a conference champ. I'm talking about having a winning record. He didn't even have a winning record in any of the 3 years he coached there. They were getting worse too.

He would have a good qb with Flowers... Maybe Texas was just a bad fit for him like Holtz florida. Just make sure he doesn't use DC he had at Texas.

At that point, you're looked at as a great expansion candidate as a school

Clint Hurtt turned Uofl around. he brought in Bridgewater and the boys. he was a known cheater at the time and ended up getting sanctions from the NCAA
