It's not the end of the world, CWT never won a thing.

I'm thankful for what CWT has done, but I hope he fails miserably at Oregon.  I'm vindictive like that, plus I'd like G5 coaches to see that the grass is not always greener on the P5 side of the fence.  Charlie Strong should be a good example of that.

I hate to agree to this, but unfortunately I do.

ho is the only head coach in USF history to

Never win a bowl game

&

Not have multiple top 25 wins

Willie Taggart

The guy's best win here was vs. Navy. Sure he won 10 games, how many of those were vs. winning teams? 2. Also only beat 3 teams that are going to a Bowl.

:popcorn:fug...it's just kinda surreal.  I didn't really believe CWT was qualified for a top 20 job.  I'm thinking most OR fans will be a bit pessimistic about the hire.

he has rebuilt 2 programs and finished the year 10-2 with a top 10 offense for the #24 team in the country. their last 3 hires had no prior HC experience.

3rd-ed.

If he succeeds, then he is better than I could have ever imagined. His success has been either on Harbaugh's coat-tails, or, pulling talent from the state of Florida. If he is able to build up a solid recruiting base in a foreign land and actually coach them up in a power conference, I'll be impressed.

Same here. Then again, maybe Oregon sees him as a turn-around expert and that's what matters at this point in time.

Funny how the AAC is not good enough for the P5, but look where they get all the good coaches from...

I'm sure Willie spoke with the Harbaugh family about this job and they told him to jump all over it.  You don't get opportunities like this every day.  Buy low and sell high.

This. I understand why he left, but I don't have to like it.

I'm with the "Hope he falls flat on his face moving forward group".  Congrats on moving up but that's where it ends!
