Losing a bowl game would hurt CWT. I don't think he'll go to the next level (as fast) if he can't figure out how to win one

What's the line of demarcation between meaningless / meaningful when it comes to bowl games? For me, anything played before December 31st falls into the meaningless category. And you're right, JoeB, a loss in a meaningless bowl game matters about as much as win does. Few contests are as anticipated as the Raycom Media Camellia Bowl or the [Love that chicken from] Popeyes Nassau Bowl.

Winning a bowl game also helps with the joke of next season's early rankings. It's a dumb game but it's the game that has to be played until someone can turn the board over and scatter the  pieces.

That's one heavy tower to topple. I'd like to see the bowl structure reorganized into a playoff format.

would indicate we still have a ways to go to compete with the aac elite

Yes.

So, our offense needs to be ready to score >55 points Friday night.  Should be fun.  Should be.

Legit make or break game boys. If we win vs. this ranked team I could easily see gaining a ridiculous amount of confidence and winning out, no matter who's put in front of us. Lose and our mentally fragile defense could have us finishing with 7 wins. FSU game was a huge game for our program, but this is the biggest game of THIS season.

I never understood why so many people feel bowl games don't matter. Of course they do. By that logic, early season OOC games don't matter either.

To me, since we can't control who we get in the bowl game, it is another OOC game, which is always a must win, since we need to improve our conference's image.

To add to that, the since the AAC has a lot of good teams this year, but lower level bowl games, I see us doing extremely well in the bowls this year.

Going to be hard to do with the 4 possessions we get.
