Zager & Evans fan?

Had to look them up so I guess not :D.  I believe their song was "In The Year 2525".  I was referring to when the B12 media contract expires.

*EDIT* I should have read the rest of the thread :D

Was there ever an official VOTE by the B12 members on the various proposed teams?

If so, has it been reported the votes that each team received?

I remember reading last week that one pundit said that if the B12 was going just solely on the presentations, USF had submitted the best one.

I believe I saw a tweet or a post by someone the other day that USF had received the most votes, but it wasn't enough. I don't know if that was meant to be serious or in jest.

There was no vote, they couldn't agree that any candidates should get an invite, so the meeting was adjourned before there was ever an official vote.

Complete farce of a process by a complete farce of a conference.

Sounds like there were at least three schools that weren't going to vote for anyone.  Since 8 were required to add a school, there was no point in voting.

Strange.

I think that the B12 would at least have wanted to know which of the eleven schools had the most support. This way, for future consideration, they would have eliminated a good many of them and just focus on the top four or five.

To have gone through all this and STILL not have culled down the prospective schools to a viable number, is just pointless.

I agree. Something more feasible had to come out of this. Some explanation of the video presentations and all of the meetings with the candidates. I can't imagine how much time, money, effort was put into all of those presentations.... and they didn't even discuss any of it. Such a mind boggling process.
